Agrimony
Agrimony is a nontoxic astringent or binding herb. It is one of the best known wound healing herbs and can be use ful for cough, diarrhea and relaxed bowels.
It can also stimulate the bodies immune system to produce B cells which is a type of white blood cell. This makes agrimony useful in certain kinds of cancer such
as chronic leukemia, multiple myeloma, and ovarian cancer.
All of the above ground parts of the plant can be used. The leaves are paired and grow along a 90 cm stem. The flowers are yellow Agrimony is generally used in teas or tinctures.

Special ConsiderationsSince agrimony treats diarrhea, you must be careful to NOT use it if you have constipation. If you mix agrimony with psyllium (metamucil) you may cause an intestinal blockage. There are a number of conditions where agrimony should not be used due to the effects on the immune system.
