Natural Sinus Remedies

Natural sinus remedies can be of benefit when faced with mild to moderate sinusitus. They may be the most effective when it comes to chronic sinusitus. But first of all, how do you know if you have chronic sinusitus? Easy. A CT of the sinus or even an MRI of the area will demonstrate chronic inflammatory changes.

Sinusitus is an inflammation or infection of the sinuses, which are the open spaces within the facial bones. Then the sinus membranes become irritated, they swell, trapping air and secresions.

The fluid feed bacteria, leading to an infection.

Symptoms include the following:

  • Fever and/or chills
  • Frontal headache
  • Thick discharge
  • Post nasal drip
  • Bad breath

But what if you don't have all those symptoms and complaints? Are you the type that just gets a pressure like sensation over the sinuses? Many times people will get this pain with barometric or weather changes. If so, you might be having migraine headache symptoms. Not all migraines have severe nausea and vomiting, sometimes they are just a mild to moderate headache triggered by the weather.
